As you can see, the Bible has a lot to say about atrocities. Whether it is an act of abomination or the abomination of devastation. Note the severity of the passages. We must take this concept seriously as Christians. One of the verses even talks about turning a blind eye to the law and how obnoxious it is. We need to make sure that we read all the scriptures, even the hard-to-swallow parts. We cannot have God`s love without knowing that anger also exists. Otherwise, grace would be cheap and meaningless to believers. Proverbs 16:5 – “Whoever is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Rest assured that it will not go unpunished. Matthew 24:15 – “Then when ye see the abomination of devastation of which the prophet Daniel speaks, standing in the holy place (which the reader understands),” This passage from Daniel speaks of the abomination of desolation. This happens first in the person of Antiochus Epiphanius IV. He desecrated the temple by placing a statue of Zeus on it and sacrificing a pig on the altar. But some theologians have speculated that another abomination of desolation will emerge in the last days.

If we want to become more like God, we cannot engage in lies. After all, Satan is known as the father of lies.
